The Sirius UAV is available in both entry-level and advanced versions, so you can immediately engage with the full GNSS RTK capability or upgrade over time. Speed of operation is one of the key benefits of the advanced version, as it does not require the use of manually located Ground Control Points.

Create your flight plan

Select your area of interest in the MAVinci flight-planning software, and set the required resolution. Flight plans are automatically calculated and transferred to the aircraft.

Acquire data with Topcon Sirius aircraft

After launching, the UAV will automatically follow the programmed flight plan, acquiring hi-res imagery and highly accurate RTK coordinates. You can have the plane automatically land on the launch point or manually land with autopilot assistance.

Process data in MAVinci software

You can track the aircraft and its parameters in the field in the MAVinci desktop software. After the aircraft lands, the images and coordinate data will be combined in the software using photogrammetric modeling. The resulting photorealistic 3D model comes complete with topographic data, which can be used for any 3D application.

Laser scanning is ideal for collecting large amounts of complex data often found in forensic scenes. The ability to quickly and accurately capture every piece of evidence gives forensic investigators the confidence to cover every aspect of a scene. Using the scanner’s dual onboard color cameras, you can colorize the data to produce photorealistic, 3D point clouds. These can be used to produce orthophotos or to measure and analyze the data.

There is no need to limit the data-collection area of your scene because our laser scanners are both high-speed and long-range. The scanners can accommodate different range requirements based on your target application, and the graphical user interface simplifies data collection. You don’t need to set out targets or carry out complicated setups as the scanner’s software will automatically align your scans based on shape-matching within the scene.

Preview data on the scanner before leaving the scene to ensure you have captured all the information. You can easily transfer the captured data to a computer for quick processing by the ScanMaster software. Exporting clouds or objects is simple as the data format is compatible with today’s most widely used third-party software. This makes quick work out of forensic analysis such as bullet trajectory or accident reconstruction.

Identify the data to be collected

Choose the best settings for your scene using the scanner’s graphical user interface.

Scan your scene

Place our scanner on a tripod; switch it on, and start scanning. Because our scanners operate at ultra-high speed, you will not spend unnecessary time at a scene. The built-in color cameras capture your scene at each scan position. You will not waste time placing targets as they are not needed for scan matching during later processing.

Process

WIth our ScanMaster software, all your scans will be automatically aligned using the unique shapes detected in each scan. The resulting 3D data is photorealistic.

When you are collecting data outdoors, buildings and land topography can interfere with your line of sight. Once you’ve identified the data required at an outdoor scene, you need a flexible, high-speed solution to capture forensic evidence accurately, despite the obstacles. Using a total station would require repositioning at different locations. Our Hybrid Solution eliminates this problem by allowing you to easily switch from line-of-sight optical measurements to GNSS measurements and back, as appropriate.

You need to quickly and easily collect data at a forensic scene without worrying about technology. Our Hybrid Positioning gives you the freedom and confidence to tackle any outdoor scene, such as a car, train, or plane crash. Our advanced robotic tracking will lock onto your prism and automatically track you as you investigate the scene. If your view of the robotic instrument is blocked, you can seamlessly switch to GNSS collection with no interruption to the data collection.

Set up your robotic instrument on site

Your Topcon robotic or imaging total station communicates with the 360˚ prism. When the line of sight is interrupted, the GNSS receiver ensures that the system will rapidly reconnect.
