Construction Equipment’s Top 100 New Products is the longest-running awards program of its kind in the industry. Each year, its editors evaluate the products introduced over the previous months and choose those considered most innovative. Editors use four criteria: A top product is an advancement in technology, a new product line, offers significant improvements to existing products, or increases competition in its field.

Smaller contractors looking to remain competitive in today’s challenging business climate have few avenues for doing so. They can staff up — with the accompanying capital equipment purchases — to handle the additional workload; they can maintain the status quo, hoping their “tried and true” methods still hold up; or they can turn to technology designed to let users do more with their existing workforce.

Topcon has long been a leader in precision optics, GNSS receivers, and machine control, serving survey, construction, and agriculture fields worldwide. In recent years, it expanded into high-growth areas like machine control and precision farming. Equipment Today magazine recognizes 50 of the best new products and solutions in the construction industry each year, and the HiPer XR GNSS receiver from Topcon Positioning Systems was named to the list for 2025. The HiPer XR GNSS receiver is designed to support construction professionals, surveyors, GIS professionals, archeologists, engineering firms, and others who rely on quality, precision measurements.
