HiPer AG: Front Panel Layout

Functions

  • Power Button—To power the HiPer AG ON or OFF hold down the Power button for 2 seconds.
  • Status LED—This light indicates what satellites are available to the GPS at the current time. Each green flash represents a visible GPS satellite. Each red flash indicates that a Glonass satellite is visible.
  • Serial Ports—Transmits data to the console. Ports A and D are used for communication between HiPer AG and an external device. USB port is used for high-speed data transfer and communication between receiver and external device. PWR is for connecting an external power source for charging the batteries.
  • Reset Button—Used for soft resets of the GMS. Do not use the RESET button unless instructed to by a properly trained technician.
  • Battery LED—This light flashes approximately every 4 seconds when the unit is switched ON and indicates the battery condition. Green flashes indicate that the battery is in good condition, Orange flashes indicate that the battery is in a satisfactory condition, and Red flashes indicate that the battery is in a poor condition.
  • RX—This light flashes every second when receiving GPS corrections. It is also referred to as the Modem Status LED.
  • FN— Function button not used in the HiPer Ag
