Downloading the installer
Log into your myTopcon account, and search for your MAGNET product here.
Download the installer labeled: MAGNET OFFICE - WINDOWS 64 BIT (1000256-01) VERSION X.X
If the PC using MAGNET Office will not be connected to the internet, please download the installer labeled: MAGNET OFFICE - WINDOWS 64-BIT (OFFLINE) (1000256-01) VERSION X.X
MAGNET Office configuration selection chart
The following MAGNET Office suite products use the same installer. Once the user activates the software license, it will enable the specific MAGNET Office suite configuration. Each license type enables different functionality.
- MAGNET Tools
- MAGNET Survey
- MAGNET Site
- MAGNET Construction
- MAGNET Project
MAGNET Layout and 3D Exchange use different installers which can be found via the links below:
Right-click on the installer, and select Run as administrator.
MAGNET Office install wizard
If you already have MAGNET Office installed on your PC and are updating it, select Change.
If this is the first time you are installing MAGNET Office on your PC, you will see the following screen.
Select your language, and click Next.
Click Next.
Accept the license agreement, and click Next.
Click Next.
Select the features that apply to the product you purchased. The Windows Explorer AddOns allow you to read files from Topcon SD cards, receivers, total stations, and digital levels.
If you purchased MAGNET Tools, select the following features to install:
- MAGNET Tools
- Windows Explorer AddOns
- Projections for your area
- Geoids for your area (For example: US users would select the USA Geoid 2018)
If you purchased MAGNET Survey, MAGNET Site, or MAGNET Construction, select the following features to install:
- MAGNET Office
- MAGNET Tools
- Windows Explorer AddOns
- Projections for your area
- Geoids for your area
If you purchased MAGNET Project, select all the features listed:
- MAGNET Office
- MAGNET Tools
- Windows Explorer AddOns
- MAGNET Project
- MAGNET Modeler
- Projections for your area
- Geoids for your area
Wait for the installer to complete. Depending on your internet connection, this may take a few minutes.
Uncheck the Launch MAGNET Office box, and click Finish.
