Out of design area
To avoid the “Out of design area…” message when working close to the edge of the DTM: Extend the Design DTM
Design is based on white lines on asphalt. Extend design to Edge of Pavement
Widen road
- When Design is done, Click Design>Design>Widen Road
Widen road settings
Select From Chainage: Start of Project Station
Select To Chainage: End of Project Station
Enter Start Offset and End Offset, same value
Select Edge: Most left line of design
Name the new edge
Click OK
Cross section
A new line in the Cross section is created, copying the slope of the element next to it
Repeat other side
Repeat for Right side
Update Survey view
When done, Update Survey to transfer the design to Survey view
New DTM
The new created DTM will have the extension on both sides
