Microsoft Windows 10 Pro operating system
The FC-5000 and FC-6000 controllers run a full Windows 10 Pro operating system. When setting up your controller, you can choose to set up a Microsoft account or a local offline account as described in FC-6000: Using an offline account or a Microsoft account during setup. If you have deleted all user accounts, you may want to consider using a more basic local offline user account with no password as described in the article.

When you can't sign in to your Microsoft account
If you chose to set up a Microsoft account, a password was set during the process. If you have forgotten the password to your Microsoft account that you originally used when setting up the controller, and the handheld device had an active internet connection before you last logged out or shut off (or there is a wireless icon in the bottom-right for setting up a connection), then on another computer, you may be able to go to a Microsoft website to use the Forgot Password link to recover or change the password. You may then be able to use the recovered or new password to log in to the controller.

How to regain access to your account as quickly as possible
- Verify that Caps Lock is turned off and your email address is spelled correctly.
- Clear your browser history.
- Try signing in to your account from a different internet browser.
Microsoft Support
If you still are not able to access your account, you may need to review Microsoft Support guides to recover the account.
