MAGNET Construct can forward the location of the HiPer GNSS receiver to your 3rd party software running on an Android device. Other apps can then use this location for measuring points.
Some settings need to be changed in your phone/tablet, and the mock location needs to be activated in MAGNET Construct.
Activate developer mode
Go to Settings > About device > About phone. (This may vary slightly per device.) Another example may be Settings > About device > Software information.
Tap Build number 7 times. (Usually, a notification appears when you have reached the number of taps.)
About your security: Enter your PIN code or pattern.
Developer mode is now activated.
Go to Settings > System > Developer Options
Scroll to Select mock location app.
Select MAGNET Construct.
MAGNET Construct can now send the GNSS stream.
Disable location improvement facility
Use the search function in your settings. (Search for Location.)
Click Location. Turn this off. Depending on the type of phone/tablet, it may be that the function is in another menu.
Click on Advanced.
Click Google location service.
Click on the GNSS antenna.
Disconnect if necessary.
Go to edit.
Go to Rover Receiver.
Go to NMEA output.
Check the Enable NMEA box.
Customize the Port and Messages only if this is requested in the specifications of the third-party app.
Open MAGNET Construct. (See separate manual for setting up MAGNET Construct.)
Connect to the GNSS antenna.
Wait for a fixed signal.
Click [M].
Go to Setup.
Select Mock Location
Check the Supply position box.
You have to set this once. You can check whether the mock icon is active.
A message appears in the status bar that mock location is running.
The GNSS location in other apps is now provided via this mock location option and, in this case, is Network RTK from MAGNET Construct to the Haul Truck app for increased precision.
