Pocket 3D: Polylines and creating an arc

Creating an arc

You can easily create a simple arc in Pocket 3D from selected points in the project.

Select at least two points in the project, and tap and hold on the screen to make the submenu appear.

To create an arc, go to Calcs > Create arc by…

You'll see four options for creating an arc in the submenu:

  1. Start,Pt.onCurve,End
  2. Start,CenterPt,End-Right
  3. Start,CenterPt,End-Left
  4. Radius and direction

Start,Pt.onCurve,End

In this example, point 1 is Start, point 2 is Pt.onCurve, and point 3 is End of the arc.

Start,CenterPt,End-Right

In this example, point 1 is Start, point 2 is CenterPt, and point 3 is End-Right of the arc.

Start,CenterPt,End-Left

In this example, point 1 is Start, point 2 is CenterPt, and point 3 is End-Left of the arc.

Radius and direction

Click Right or Left next to the Radius field to select which side the arc will be created. The radius is proposed by Pocket 3D, but you can always manually change the value if needed.

Navigating to Cals > Create arc by… > Radius and direction, shows this window.

In this example, a maximum of 2 points can be selected, and points 1 and 2 were chosen.

This option creates an arc without moving the start and end points.
