MAGNET Field: Configuring Internal GNSS for DGPS (FC-5000)

This article explains how to configure internal GNSS for DGPS on the FC-5000. You can also see the steps in the video.

Navigate to Configure > Survey

Click Select from Library on the GNSS line.

That gets you to the screen on the right.

Select FC-5000 Internal Autonomous/SBS.

Click Add.

 

Rename the configuration for yourself.

Leave the Type as Autonomous/SBAS.

Click Next.

Select Generic NMEA from the Manufacturer drop-down menu.

Click Next.

Select Generic NMEA from the Receiver Model drop-down menu.

Input an approximate Antenna Height for the FC-5000.

Click Next.

Set the measurement parameters to your personal preferences.

Click Next.

Set the Auto Topo parameters to your personal preferences.

Click Next.

Set the Stake Settings parameters to your personal preferences.

Click Next.

Set the Stake Settings parameters to your personal preferences.

Click Next.

Set the Grade Stake Marking parameters to your personal preferences.

Click Next.

Set the Staked Point Icon parameters to your personal preferences.

Click Next.

Set the Point Naming parameters to your personal preferences.

Click Next.

Set the Miscellaneous parameters to your personal preferences.

Click the green check mark.

Click the green check mark again.

You are now ready to use the internal GNSS receiver in the FC-5000.

Connect to the receiver and collect points.
