DEM
DEMs (Digital Elevation Models) can be generated from point clouds or TIN surfaces
It is impossble to create DEMs in a model project whose coordinate system is ECEF (Earth-Centered, Earth-Fixed.
Two ways are availabe to Create a DEM :
- Right-click in DEM folder on workspace window and select "Create EDM"
- Click EDM in Tools tab on the top Ribbon

Click Choose in surface and Surface selection dialogue will appear.

Select a surface from the table:

It is possible to select from DEM, TIN and point cloud

Set the parameters in DEM settings:

Ground sample distance/Surface policy

Filter

Off: Does not apply the filter

On(Gaps only): Applies the filter only for empty cells

On (All): Applies the filter to all cells

Kernel size: Specify the processing unit by the number of cells (Minimum value: 3)

- Click Start to create the DEM
Edit Color Range

To edit the DEM color range, click Color Range in the Edit tab on the top Ribbon.

From the Target drop down list select DEM

Define the range either by using the slide bars or typing specific values
Export the DEM
- Select the target DEM on Workspace window and click "Export"
- Set the destination folder
- Set the data format (*.TIF, *.ASC)
- Set method for transforming coordinates
- Set units
- Click OK to export DEM
