MAGNET Collage: RD-M1 data - Estimate trajectory

Trajectory estimation is the first step in processing RD-M1 data. This guide shows the steps in processing the trajectory with MAGNET Collage.

Fuse menu

  1. Select the RD-M1 run in the Workspace window.
  2. Navigate to Fuse > Trajectory.

RD-M1 trajectory method

  1. Select the radio button for RD-M1 after Method.
  2. Click Add...

Add base station

  1. Click Choose...
  2. Browse to the base log file.
  3. Select the log file.
  4. Click Open.
  5. Click Add... to create a new base profile.

OR

If the base profile already exists, continue to Select base profile.

Base profile

  • Enter a name for the Base profile ID.
  • Select the coordinate type from the Coordinates drop-down list.
    • Select Custom if you have the base coordinates in grid format for a known projection, and proceed to Custom coordinate.
  • Enter the position of the base point, and skip to Base antenna.

 

Custom coordinate

  1. Select the Distance Units of the coordinate you are going to use.
  2. Click the Choose... button, and select the grid coordinate system for the base position.
  3. Enter the coordinates of the base position.
    • Note: The East field is before the North field.
  4. Click OK.

Base antenna

  1. Select the model of receiver used to collect the base file from the Antenna name drop-down list.
    • Topcon receivers all start with TPS, then the model name.
  2. Enter the vertical antenna height.
  3. Select ARP from the Measurement to drop-down menu.
  4. Click OK.

Select base profile

  1. Select the correct base profile.
  2. Check the base profile coordinates and antenna information.
  3. Click OK.

Start trajectory estimation

To add more base stations for trajectory estimation, click Add... and repeat from Add base station.

OTHERWISE

  1. Check all base station information.
  2. Click Start.
