There are activation licenses available for the Topcon 3D-MC app on Volvo excavators:
- 1030734-01: 30-day trial license
- 1019840-01: Full activation license
A Software Purchase Certificate will be generated with an activation serial number. This serial number must be inputted to 3D-MC to activate it, similar to how MAGNET products are handled.
You must also have an active myTopcon account for this process.
To activate the software, go to the View menu, and tap on About. This will bring up the 3D-MC version information.
Under the software version number, you should also see the machine's chassis ID and excavator options. If Excavator is unchecked, the software has not been activated.
Tap on the License button in the lower left corner.
There will be four input fields on this screen:
- Device ID: This is the ID of the Volvo display. There should also be a number direction after the Device ID that will match the machine's PIN.
- Serial Number: This is the serial number provided on the Software Purchase Certificate.
- Username: This is your myTopcon account e-mail.
- Password: This is your myTopcon account password.
Enter the serial number and correct myTopcon username and password. Tap the OK button (not shown) in the lower right corner to activate the software.
Note: This method requires an active cellular connection either through the Volvo SIM card or a hotspot.
Once the code has been applied, you will be returned to the About screen.
You should now see a check mark in the box for Excavator. This indicates the software has been activated.
