Topcon GPS plays key role in major Queens pipeline
The population of South East Queensland, an area of Australia that includes Brisbane and Gold Coast, is
growing and the increase in immigration to the area is expected to continue the growth trend over the next two decades. In anticipation of future growth, the councils of several South East Queensland cities have worked together to develop a drought contingency project, the Southern Regional Water Pipeline (SRWP), to create
a water grid to manage the existing and future water needs of the region. This grid will provide a network of two way pipelines to connect all major bulk water sources in the region, moving water from areas of water surplus and transport it to areas that are much drier.
