Topcon names Frankish AU/NZ regional sales manager

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) announces that Greg Frankish of Queensland, Australia, has been appointed regional survey sales manager for Australia and New Zealand. In his new role, Frankish will be in charge of survey sales for the Topcon line of products and will work directly with the company's distributor network in the region. He will report to Murray Lodge, vice president of the TPS construction business unit.

Hooten joins Topcon as GIS sales manager

Topcon Positioning Systems, Inc. (TPS) has named Jason Hooten as GIS sales manager for handheld products. He comes to TPS most recently from GeoNav Group International, a Topcon business partner, where he specialized in broadening GeoNav’s product and service offerings in both navigation and vehicle tracking applications.

LIVERMORE, Calif. – June 8, 2011 –Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) has purchased a significant ownership interest in DynaRoad Oy, a software company located in Helsinki, Finland. DynaRoad develops project management software for civil engineering and infrastructure construction.

Topcon opens VIP Center at California 'Solutions Site'

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) on April 27 officially opened Phase 1 of the renovation of the 12-acre acre training and test site and dedicated the new VIP Welcome Center. The test site was also renamed the Topcon Solutions Site. Ray O’Connor, TPS president and CEO, and Mick Yamazaki, chief operations officer, cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the new venue.

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) Latin American distributor Geomatic Instruments Corporation S.A.C. (Geincor) is now offering the IP-S2 mobile mapping system. Geincor, based in Lima, Peru, took ownership of the system in April.
