New 2LS brand of lasers and levels announced

A new, affordable series of lasers and levels – 2LS (tools) – is now available.   The 2LS brand is designed to bridge the gap between do-it-yourself lasers and industrial quality lasers, levels and surveying instruments used on large construction and civil engineering projects.  As a member of the Topcon Group of brands, 2LS products incorporate advanced features not available in other builder-type laser and optical products.

Topcon volunteers support Japan through TOGETHER program

For Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS), located in Livermore, California, a subsidiary of Topcon Corporation headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the amount of work needed for Japan to recover from the March 11, 2011 earthquake and ensuing tsunami disaster was fully realized by a group of employees who volunteered to help in cleanup efforts.  Twelve TPS employees, including Mick Yamazaki, chief operating officer, spent three days cleaning up debris in an area of the Tohoku (northeast) district of Japan.

New version of Topcon ScanMaster software improves scanning performance

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) has released a new version of software used with Topcon’s GLS series of laser scanners – ScanMaster v2.5. The new version was designed to improve existing features, add new functions, and broaden applications for scanning.
