Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) announces that an upgrade to its 3D-MC machine control software – v10.0 for 3D-MC – is now available.
Mark Larranaga, TPS manager for construction software, said, “This new software upgrade allows a whole new range of machines to be controlled via the same 3D-MC software as used for dozers, graders and excavators.”
A new, affordable series of lasers and levels – 2LS (tools) – is now available. The 2LS brand is designed to bridge the gap between do-it-yourself lasers and industrial quality lasers, levels and surveying instruments used on large construction and civil engineering projects. As a member of the Topcon Group of brands, 2LS products incorporate advanced features not available in other builder-type laser and optical products.
For almost a decade, Topcon Positioning Systems’ Millimeter GPS™ with LazerZone™ has been a standard for accuracy and productivity in grading and asphalt paving.
Now, the LazerZone precise positioning grade technology has been expanded to include concrete paving, providing high accuracy grade reference on the entire paving project.
Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) will present an array of new machine control technologies, positioning tools and total stations at the World of Concrete trade show January 24-27, in Las Vegas.
The latest technologies in precision machine control for graders, dozers and excavators, a new line of lasers, plus two new standard-setting series of total stations will be on exhibit in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (Booth C5070).
For Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS), located in Livermore, California, a subsidiary of Topcon Corporation headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the amount of work needed for Japan to recover from the March 11, 2011 earthquake and ensuing tsunami disaster was fully realized by a group of employees who volunteered to help in cleanup efforts.
Twelve TPS employees, including Mick Yamazaki, chief operating officer, spent three days cleaning up debris in an area of the Tohoku (northeast) district of Japan.
