The GRS-1 addresses real-time GIS mapping and data exchange as it incorporates an optional internal GSM or CDMA modem into the handheld device. Use the internal modem to dial up to a reference station network for real-time correction data or to access a GIS server in the field. Download maps and other datasets, surf the web or upload data files in an instant from the field to your GIS. The new GRS-1 provides data at any GIS accuracy level. Use the GRS-1 standalone for submeter accuracy. Add an external PG-A5 antenna for subfoot work or an external PG-A1 for GIS-RTK (<5cm) data. An SD memory card slot is also available to store background images, digital photographs and other data files.
